Negotiating Price of Moulds
E-Hong Foundry has many manufacturers that it has partnered with over the years. If the customer is not satisfied with the price, the company will negotiate with several manufacturers to work out a more favorable price for our customer.

2.Choosing the Mould Material 
If customers have more output they can opt for aluminum moulds, which are relatively durable, have relatively low subsequent maintenance costs, and a more beautiful casting surface. If customers choose wood moulds, the company will also use mould lifters to extend the life of the moulds.

Under what circumstances should a mould be changed?

Wood Mould
Suitable for no bake process

The mould is easy to lift and has a long service life so it is suitable for mass production of castings. The no bake process can be applied to all sizes of wood moulds.


 

Simple Mould
Suitable for no bake process

This mould has a short service life, less precision, but a low cost. The unit price of castings is high (due to labor costs). It is suitable for small or medium volume products under development. The no bake process can be applied to all sizes of hard mould.
 

Squeeze sand moulding(Wood Medium Plate, Aluminum Medium Plate)

Suitable for Medium Plate Processes

Squeeze sand moulding come in the following sizes: 11x16, 12x16, 13X16, 13x18, 16x16, 18x19 inches. If you need different sizes, the mould should be changed. Aluminum moulds are recommended due to their long service life. If a large quantity of medium plates are required (annual output is more than 5 tons), automatic aluminum moulds are recommended. The unit price of casting is low, with good precision and surface appearance.



 

Automatic Aluminum Mould

Suitable for Automatic Aluminum Processes

The size of the automatic aluminum mould is 650x550mm. If the original medium plate is changed to an automatic die, our company also has a male plate that can be use (depending on the size, directly used). Automatic moulds are costly (more than 50,000), but the unit price of casting is low and delivery is quick. We can produce 400 moulds in one day.





 

Automatic Mould Plans
If a medium plate or automatic plate has a size discrepancy the mould and flow path system must be changed.

1. Changing the Medium Plate to an Automatic Aluminum Mould
If the medium plate is small and the casting is light, it is suggested to change the mould to fill up the casting in the template, so that more castings can be produced from a box of sand mould. This can also make quotes lower. If the original medium plate casting is heavy, a male plate can be directly used (the mould modification cost is lower).

2. Small Automatic Aluminum Mould
For example, if the customer's automatic mould size is 610x500mm, and it is changed to a 650x550mm one, a male plate can be used (the cost of mould modification is lower).

3. Large Automatic Aluminum Mould
If the customer wants to change the mould size from x650mm to x650mm and the change does not exceed the range, it can be used simply by re-drilling.




Sand Core Box Plan
Sand cores are required for all parts of the casting that are empty or concave in shape. This can make the surface of sand core casting smooth.
